Dave Peterson
Dave Peterson is a second-generation pastor and a first generation Texan. He was born and raised in Oregon, where his father served several congregations. He’s a graduate of Lewis and Clark College, San Francisco Theological Seminary (M.Div) and Western Theological Seminary (D.Min).
He served congregations in Washington state, Nevada and Michigan before accepting the call to serve as Senior Pastor of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston (1995–2013). He has served on many nonprofit boards. Since “retirement,” he has served as Director of Community Outreach for the Robert and Janice McNair Foundation, has written daily devotionals for the H.E.B. Family Foundation, and served as Interim Pastor at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. Dave speaks frequently at conferences and has written Receiving and Giving: Unleashing the Bless Challenge in Your Life and The World Through Our Eyes. He and Terri and have been married for 54 years; they have four married children and seven grandchildren.
