Jin Cho
Rev. Jin Cho is an Anglican priest serving in the Diocese of the Churches for the Sake of Others. With more than 25 years of pastoral experience, Jin has faithfully ministered as a church planter, pastor, and advocate for justice, deeply committed to the intersection of faith, justice, and community transformation.
Jin holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Seminary, where his dissertation examined the complex dynamics of race, evangelicalism, and the local church. This work reflects his lifelong passion for addressing systemic inequities and helping churches engage meaningfully in justice and reconciliation efforts. Jin’s ministry is characterized by his ability to navigate difficult conversations with grace and courage, empowering faith communities to become agents of change in a broken world.
In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Jin collaborates with churches, non-profits, and other organizations, facilitating conversations on justice, equity, and the church’s role in societal transformation. His leadership and vision have helped foster understanding and dialogue, equipping others to embrace their calling as reconcilers and advocates for compassion.
Jin’s personal life is deeply rooted in his partnership with his wife, Esther, who he affectionately describes as his “far more interesting and supportive partner.” This year, they celebrate 25 years of marriage, a milestone that reflects their shared commitment to one another and their family. Together, they are raising two energetic and extroverted middle-schoolers who bring joy and liveliness to their home.
The Cho family resides in Orange County, California, where Jin continues to lead, serve, and advocate for a church that embodies the love, justice, and mercy of Christ. His dedication to fostering both personal and systemic transformation remains a guiding force in his ministry and his life.
